连读时冒出来的 /r/

The R in the spelling is not pronounced in the word itself, or if the next word begins with a consonant sound. But when the next word begins with a vowel sound, the R is pronounced.

war 拼写有三个字母 w-a-r，英式发音却只有两个音 /w/ /ɔː/，r 不读。单说 war，或者后面跟辅音（war film），r 都不出声。

后面跟元音开头的词时，r 就读出来，把两个词串在一起：War and Peace、mother-in-law、Tower of London、your eye、never again。这就是 linking r，让话说得更顺。
