省音：被吞掉的 t

In everyday speech, when a /t/ sound comes in between two consonant sounds, we often don't pronounce it. It's more difficult to say three consonants together in a row when /t/ is in the middle. When a sound disappears in between two words, it's called elision.

和上一课的 d 一样：can't do 里 t 前面是 n、后面是 d，三个辅音连在一起太费劲，中间的 t 就省掉了。

最常见的是 n't 结尾的否定词（can't、don't、won't、isn't）和 -st 结尾的词（must、first、last、just、best）后面跟辅音的时候。
