Assimilation: /t/ before /j/
t 后面跟着 you、your 时,t 和 /j/ 合成 /tʃ/(ch 的音):Nice to meet you 读成 nice to meetcha,don't you 读成 dontcha。
规则
In fluent speech, when one word ends in a /t/ sound and the next begins with a /j/ sound, like 'you' or 'your', then the two sounds come together and change to /tʃ/.
It's nice to meet you.
That shirt won't suit you.
Don't you want to come to the party?
I bet your boss doesn't know.
Can I get you anything?
I guess that goes to show you can't always get what you want.
Alex 提示:gotcha(got you,逮到你了 / 懂了)、betcha(bet you)这些拼写,就是把这种同化直接写了出来。
