I think so、Not necessarily、Yes, sometimes、Well, I like tigers
↘do:声音从这个音节开始往下降(如 How d'you ↘do)

Listen and repeat. Then listen to Mr Watkins and Miss Roke, and repeat Miss Roke's part.
Harriet
↘No.
不。
跟读
Sarah
↗No.
不?
跟读
Alan

没有。
跟读
Mr Watkins

Listen to this and repeat Miss Roke's part. Then you will hear some equally rude questions. Be ready to answer.
Mr Watkins
Are you thinking of getting ↗married, Miss Roke?
Miss Roke

说英语的人就算心里很有把握,也常常说 I think so,显得不那么武断;Harriet 懂语言,说 I think so 很自然。 I think so / I don't think so,不太了解就用 I suppose so / I don't suppose so。
English-speaking people often say I think so even when they are absolutely sure. I suppose so means 'Don't ask me: I'm not an expert'. Listen again, and repeat Harriet's answers.
David
You're good at ↗languages, Harriet. Those people in ↘front of us … are they speaking ↗Swedish?
Harriet
I ↘think↗so.

David
Not Nor↗wegian?

I'm afraid so、I hope so、I expect so 和 I think so 一样,降在中间的实词上(afraid / hope / expect),so 上再挑起来。I doubt it、I shouldn't be surprised 虽然不以 so 结尾,也是同样的先降后升。
Here are some more answers ending with so for you to listen to and repeat.
Alan
Is it going to ↗rain tomorrow, Sarah?
Sarah?
Sarah
I'm a↘fraid↗so.
跟读
Alan
D'you think we'll have better weather for the ↗weekend?

Sarah
I ↘hope↗so.

跟读
Alan
D'you think they'll cancel the ↗cricket if it rains on Sunday?
Sarah
I ex↘pect↗so.

If they ↘do cancel Sunday's ↗cricket, d'you think they'll have it on ↗Monday?
Sarah
I ↘doubt↗it.
Sarah
I ↘doubt it, A↗lan.

Mr Watkins
We've heard nothing from ↘Marshall's, Miss ↗Roke, yet we wrote to them three ↘weeks ago. D'you think they're on ↗strike?
I hope not、I don't expect so 也是先降后升。
Negative answers generally have the same intonation.
Alan
Is it going to ↗rain tomorrow, Sarah?
Sarah?
Sarah
I ↘hope↗not.
David
D'you think Jo will have any problems living in ↗Britain, Harriet?
Harriet?
Harriet

I'm a↘fraid↗not.
I'm afraid ↘not.
Bus driver
Just a moment, ↗luv.
Sarah
What's wrong? Can't I take my bike on a bus?

David
So they must be ↘Swedish tourists.
Harriet
Not neces↘sari↗ly.

David
I s'pose it's ↘always nice weather in ↘↗your part of the world, Jo, ↗isn't it?
If the answer shows 0 or 100, or something very near, the intonation falls. If the answer is somewhere in the middle, we use the fall-rise.

对比 Spanish(先降后升,「葡萄牙语不会,西班牙语倒会一点」)和 Spain(只降,直接回答「在西班牙学的」)。
We have one more kind of answer that takes the fall-rise. Listen to Alan and Sarah, and repeat Sarah's part.
Alan
Are you free on ↗Saturday, Sarah?
Sarah?
Sarah
Well, I'm free on ↘Sun↗day.
